Duality: Daya Altaria

NAME: Daya Altaria (pronounced DAH-yah)

HISTORY: The family name is well known by each city for their fine furs and meats they offer for trading. Because of the demands of their meats and furs Daya has lived a very comfortable lifestyle, often having the money for fine weapons and food. Her father coming from a long line of respected hunters and her mother a beast tamer have taught her the necessary skills needed from a young age. Physical training and hunting skill was taught to her from her father, as her mother taught her the biology of the many species of pokemon and how to better understand and care for the beasts. Some of her best childhood memories were spent helping her mother with the family’s pokemon (bird pokemon were mainly used to search large distances for any game, finding areas that would result in a successful hunt).
Over the years Daya has evolved to become a deadly hunter and has indeed proved her worth to the Altaria name, she has evolved to creating a quick and clean hunting style (as to not ruin the furs for trading). When not hunting she is often found relaxing and playing with the bird pokemon of the forest.
However because of the family’s success few of the traders within the city have become jealous, some even resorting to hiring mercenaries from the thieves’ guild to prevent Daya and her father from entering the city to sell their items (however there has been no success keeping them out much to the other traders discuss).

PERSONALITY: Her appearance and body language often makes her appear as if she is a harsh and disciplined, however if you initiate her in a conversation it is soon realised that she can be a cheerful and talkative person. She remains composed and well mannered when around people within the cities as their family name is well known and she does not want to tarnish that. In short if you show her respect then you shall receive it back. However when away from city people or hunting she is a completely different person, her attitude becomes serious, cunning and rather aggressive acting more like a beast than human.
She is not intimidated easily. Although she does feel uneasy and is extremely cautious when in the presence of a mage, she has heard stories of them having the ability of telepathic communication and has psychic powers which she finds unnatural (If you do express any of these traits in front of her she becomes rather jumpy and defensive).
The only time she will not remain composed is when she is in the presence of anyone from the thieves’ guild. Acting extremely hostile (especially to those of mercenary or assassin profession) more of her beastly personality is shown (although she can be more acceptable towards children of the guild...if you have not already tried to steal from her).
As for people within the warriors guild, she does not seemed bothered by them in the slightest (she secretly admires the warriors guild for their hard work).

BATTLE STYLE: She treats pokemon battles like a hunt, studying her opponent looking for weaknesses or movements made by her opponents in hope to anticipate their next attack. Her battle style is rather aggressive using quick movements and powerful blows to make short work of her opponent.

POKEMON:
Ava / Pidgeotto
Her first pokemon. When she was little her favourite pass time was playing in the forest with the bird pokemon often pretending to fly like them. One day a playful pidgey came down from the trees and at the end of the day followed her home, the two have been inseparable since. Ava is often flying far above her training keeping an eye out for prey or trouble that may be heading her way.
Ava is a happy, playful bird but extremely cunning. If battling this pokemon expect some tricks.

Fray/ Sceptile
Received from her father as a treco that he obtained on one of his trading trips. Her father laughed as he handed her the pokemon saying the rich fool had no idea how valuable this pokemon was and all it coast him was an ursaring fur.
This sceptile is completely calm under pressure and is extremely dangerous inside of battle. Very agile and a tough target to hit.

Helias / Gabite
This pokemon was accepted into the team during Dayas survival challenge in the woods. This pokemon attacked them late at night hoping for a meal but in returned almost ended up as the meal. So far he accepts Daya as the leader.
This pokemon is extremely aggressive and has a reckless nature. The only reason it last so long in battle is because of its astounding ability to take many blows from its opponent. His attack power has grown formidable through training, this is the only reason he accepted and respects Daya as his trainer is because he craves power which could not be gained through remaining as a wild pokemon.

Siren/ Swablu
This pokemon is a chirpy and loveable pokemon, since being a new born it will not leave Dayas side. The weakest pokemon on the team this pokemon would be less likely to be in battle, however there is something sinister about this pokemon. Could it be because of the warning received by her mother about Sirens perish song?
